Center Wish List

Our New Home

We are now fully settled in to our new location, in the wonderful town of Port Credit, our next step is to beautify our new centre.We would like to create an ambiance which will project a supremely more peaceful and calming effect on to our members, while extending the same to the entire Mississauga Community.

Our goal is to complete renovations etc., for our Open House planned at the end of May.

We need a number of small items to help complete our center. Your donation of any of the items (below) would be appreciated.

AKBC Wish List 2009

Shrine

1. Spot Lights for the Shrine (6 in number, from Ikea)
2. New Risers for the Buddhas (to be made)
3. Two pictures to be blown up and framed for the Shrine
4. One of Buddha Avalokiteshvara and one of Venerable Geshe-la.
5. Frames, two, 70x100cm for the above pictures.
6. Shelves to place offerings for these two pictures
7. Gold leafing the Stupa

Dharma Shop

1. Bookshelves (from Ikea)

General Beautification

1. One floor Lamp for the back of the room (from Ikea)
2. Carpet for the room, size of room is 28x21 feet
3. Exterior sign for the center
4. Interior sign for the center
5. Two drape panels to beautify the windows

Office Area

1. Chair
2. Small filing cabinet

Social/Office Area

1. Slip cover for the love seat
2. Area rug
3. Paint for the back wall

Ceiling

1. Swag labs (6 in number) to be placed hanging from the ceiling. This will help reduce the glare of the existing foourescent lights (from Ikea).
2. Jacket liner fabric to be used to decorate the ceiling tiles for beautification.
