The web site for Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Center (AKBC). We are a small centre located in Mississauga Ontario. We run branch classes in Glen Williams / Georgetown and also in Brampton. How to Solve our Human Problems
Saturday, March 22, 2014. 10am-1:30pm
Western Buddhist monk, Kelsang Sangdrub will explain why our happiness is fleeting and elusive, and why we continually encounter problems that disturb our peace of mind.
Tickets will be available at the door. Light refreshments will be served. There will be a lunch break but lunch is not provided.
The suggested donation is $25 for the event. However, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The theme for our General Program classes for the month of March is: Learning to be Happy.
Brampton General Program Class
General Program classes in Brampton have resumed. Our new venue, 20 Regan Road, Unit 1. Classes will be led by Kelsang Sangdrub with Larry Karnis assisting. Please join us Tuesday evenings.
Oakville Class Notice

Welcome to Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre (AKBC)
AKBC is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), a branch of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism that has been active in the west since 1977. NKT presents Buddha's message of love, compassion and skillful living in a way that makes it easy for westerners to approach, understand and practice.
We offer introductory classes on Buddhism (Drop-in classes), meditation classes for beginners, guided meditations, retreats, or special courses. We offer all level of Buddhist studies, books on meditation; Buddhism, helpful reference materials, and the fellowship of a spiritual community.
Meditation is for everyone, regardless of religious background, race, ethnicity, gender, or orientation. We welcome everyone, including people of all faiths, to any of our Kadampa meditation centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. There are over 1,100 Kadampa meditation centres and groups worldwide.
The calendar includes our regular classes, retreats and activities suitable for people of all interests. Look for classes in:
