Please join us on Sunday August 23rd from 12:30-3:30pm for a workshop titled Making the Most of Life. Kelsang Sangdrub will share Buddha's wisdom on how we can use our Precious Human Life to benefit all sentient beings.
Sangdrub will be retiring from teaching in September 2015 so this may be the last workshop he will lead. If you have ever heard Sangdrub teach before you know how special his precentations are and you also know that this presentation is not to be missed.
Suggested donations are $25/person at the door. No one will be turned away due to a lack of funds. Pre-registration is not required... and light snacks will be served.

Drop-in classes are ongoing on Wednesdays in Glen Williams at 7:00pm.
Please note that starting in September, classes in Glen Williams will change to Thursdays at 7:00pm. Our first class will be Thursday September 3rd.

Welcome to Avalokiteshvara Kadampa Buddhist Centre (AKBC)
AKBC is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT), a branch of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism that has been active in the west since 1977. NKT presents Buddha's message of love, compassion and skillful living in a way that makes it easy for westerners to approach, understand and practice.
We offer introductory classes on Buddhism (Drop-in classes), meditation classes for beginners, guided meditations, retreats, or special courses. We offer all level of Buddhist studies, books on meditation; Buddhism, helpful reference materials, and the fellowship of a spiritual community.
Meditation is for everyone, regardless of religious background, race, ethnicity, gender, or orientation. We welcome everyone, including people of all faiths, to any of our Kadampa meditation centres throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. There are over 1,100 Kadampa meditation centres and groups worldwide.
